Shooting of Mostofa Sarwar Farooqi’s movie “No Land’s Man” has been scheduled to begin this year.
Streaming platform Bongo has joined the team of producers working on the
movie. Earlier, Bollywood star Nawazuddin Siddiqui, US producer and director Shrihari along with Anjan Chowdhury
Pintu, Nusrat Imrose Tisha and Mostafa Sarwar Farooqi were known as the producers of the movie. Bongo, the leading digital streaming platform of Bangladesh, has recently joined as co-producer. ‘No Lands Man’ has stories from Asia, Australia and the continent of America. Along with the production, Nawazuddin Siddiqui will also perform in the film as an actor. Popular Australian actress Michelle Megan will be starring in the movie.
Bongo’s Chief Content Officer Mushfiqur Rahman said, “Our platform delivers content all over the world and features content of international standard. Farooqi is a world-class director. That is why we have associated with this movie. Apart from that, a well-reputed star like Nawazuddin is also associated with the movie.” ‘No Lands Man’ is going to be Farooqui’s first English-language film. Earlier, the film’s
screenplay has won funds at multiple festivals. The movie was selected in the Asian Project Market at the first Busan Film Festival of 2014. ‘No Lands Man’ has already achieved many international prestigious accolades and awards prior to the movie shooting. The screenplay of the movie was written by the director himself. Producer Mostafa Sarwar Farooqi said, “Bongo’s online platform has been doing well for quite some time. They have gradually shown attentiveness towards cinema. They have also expressed their interest in this film. I’m delighted on that note.”
