Bongo authorities are working tirelessly to make entertainment and video streaming services
accessible to all viewers. Bongo has recently reached a new milestone of success.
The 19th CJFB Performance Awards ceremony was held on Saturday. Due to the pandemic, the
CJFB award ceremony was held online this year. Bongo has won the title of the “Popular Video
Streaming Platform” of the prestigious award ceremony.
Apart from the members of the CJFB committee, well-known Bangladeshi music director and
composer Sheikh Sadi Khan, playwright Md. Hamid and Khorshed Alam Khosru, the President of
Bangladesh Film Producers Distributors Association, were present at the ceremony. Bongo won
the award, surpassing the other two streaming platforms in the country; Bioscope and Popcorn.
After receiving the prestigious recognition from CJFB, Mr. Fayez Taher, Chief Operating Officer of
Bongo, said, “This award will be a testament to the work that Bongo is doing in order to create a
video streaming ecosystem in Bangladesh. For the past 6 years, Bongo has been working to
develop content infrastructure and copyright systems in Bangladesh through technology. We are
very grateful for the recognition from CJFB. We would not have been able to come this far
without their support and media recognition”.
